The REAL cause of Elizabeth I death

Now Elizabeth I is known for being the queen that signed over England for a staggering forty five years, well almost. She was the daughter of the notorious king Henry VIII and his second wife Anne Boleyn. The queen who lost her head by French swords man. Elizabeth was just two years old when her mother was brutally taken away from her.

Elizebeth’s reign over England has gone down in history as the golden age, especially for art and drama. Elizabeth was also the last monarch in the Tudor dynasty as she died without leaving an heir, instead she named James the sixth of Scotland as her successor. He went on to become James the first of England. The first Stuart monarch of England.

In todays video we will be looking at the suspected causes of death for Elizabeth and then discussing what the agreed real cause of death of the queen was.

The actual cause of death of Elizabeth I

The cause of Elizabeth’s death remains a hotly contested subject. Before her death, Elizabeth refused permission for a post-mortem to be conducted, leaving the cause of her death forever shrouded in mystery. But they are a few details that may have caused her death.

We are all familiar with the iconic image of Queen Elizabeth 1 of England, who reigned from 1558 until her death in 1603. Her portraits show a slight body lost in extravagant dresses, and magnificent white ruffs framing the pale face.

Elizabeth I is one of England’s most well-known monarchs. She was
the daughter of the infamous King
Henry VIII, and his second wife the
illustrious Queen Anne Boleyn, who
was executed when Elizabeth was just two years old. Elizabeth succeeded to the throne in 1558 upon the death of her half-sister Queen Mary. England had become a major world power in every respect, and Queen Elizabeth I passed into history as one of England’s greatest monarchs. the premature deaths of her younger half-brother, King Edward VI, in 1553 and her older half-sister, Queen Mary I, in 1558, left her as Henry’s only surviving legitimate child and paved the way for Elizabeth to become the queen that year. She would reign for 45 years down to 1603, making her one of England’s longest-reigning monarchs

On the 24th March 1603 inside of Richmond Palace, one of England’s greatest Queens died at the age of 69. She was the woman who would execute her own cousin who was an anointed Queen, and she would also see off the biggest threats to England of the 16th century. Elizabeth I was a woman who was sick a number of times throughout her life, and she was a Queen who despite being incredibly powerful was haunted by bouts of crippling self doubt with regards to her looks. She would be scarred from smallpox heavily on her face, and despite surviving the deadly disease when she was younger she would be possibly killed by the efforts she made to cover up these scars. For the real cause of Elizabeth I’s death has been debated by historians for centuries, but there could have been one way that she may have prevented her death and it related to the heavy makeup that she wore. But what is the story of Elizabeth I’s cause of death?

One of the most successful Queens in History was Queen Elizabeth I. The final Tudor Monarch would achieve brilliant victory against the Spanish Armada, which at the time was the most feared naval fleet the world had ever seen. She would manage to sort out a number of problems inside of her Kingdom, and she also had a rather brutal side. She would sentence Mary Queen of Scots to death, and she would executed a number of other prominent people including some of her favourites. To many people at the time, they believed their Queen was immortal, and she was known as Gloriana however as the 1600s came around, she was becoming increasingly more frail. One thing that has not been cleared up though is what killed the final Tudor Monarch, and there are a number of interesting ideas as to what was the final cause of Elizabeth I’s death. But what is the story of this?
